Well done! I saw day 1 in LA and it was everything you describe. As the panels disappeared one by one to reveal the inner workings of the stage, Yoongi revealed himself to us. Stripped down to the raw and beautiful spirit that he is. It was Art. My only regret is not having better seats.
Even though I had seen many spoilers from his concert, nothing truly prepared me for what I was going to witness that weekend in Chicago! Please...take me back! I absolutely loved the rap medley and AMYGDALA. His stage set-up was one of the most unique designs I have ever seen too. I am so glad you got to experience it all in person. I am also so grateful to Yoongi for giving ARMY one more chance to gather together for a concert again.
As I lie in bed, having just woken up here in Australia, and read your post - I suddenly realised that tears were streaming down my face! Your thoughts completely match my thoughts about Agust D, Suga & Min Yoogi. What a privilege it is to witness the genius of this complex but albeit contented man. This man and his band mates cause me to express emotions that I thought I had long ago tucked safely away. However, who knew that I could still feel as emotionally connected to music & poetry of lyric, beat & through dance? I didn’t!! I actually feel alive again, with all that comes with that.
I can’t wait for the theatre show in June. I will take my son & daughter in law with me. They came to the previous movie show and actually enjoyed it more than they expected! They also said they would come with me again, so I will hold them to that. Thankfully Suga was their favourite so I’m sure they will enjoy this more.
Oh Mandy, now you made me cry! I am so glad my thoughts moved you. No higher compliment for a writer. We are lucky to be clued into what Yoongi is doing. It is real and profound. 💜
